- Oh, definitely the wife's. In fact, the wife used to do all the painting, inside and outside. I could see her point 'cos if I tried to do it on my days off, I might only get one day a week where I could do a bit of it, whereas if she got stuck into it she might do the outside of the house in a week.

In fact, whatever she done she done it well, she was really good at anything she took on. When the children were smaller she used to bottle her own preserves, make her own jam, but towards the end as the girls grew up and got married, we didn't worry much about jam.
