This is the remnants of a sand-pit which was actually quite well built and has a drain which goes out over there. And my mother, being a primary school teacher, gave me the specs for the types of sandpits they build in schools, so we actually put a lot of effort into this, what was a very good sandpit. This is the base layer, before you put down the green cloth, and then the sand goes inside that. I was thinking about changing the backyard when Carl and I first separated, plus I used the sand in the gardens - so it was no need to have a green cloth ... [fades].
