This is my bush garden. The block was flat, and so when we got all the dirt, the big thing was that we'd raise this end of the garden and I had full intention of it starting out to be just purely native, but I think because you live in Canberra you see a lot of European-type stuff, anyhow, so we put in a lot of deciduous stuff. |

Now that it's growing you're getting quite a nice little area to sit, and the birds really come in here, so if you're sitting out here quiet you can sit there and watch the different types of birds come in. I suppose dividing among the rest of the yard I'd probably come up here the most. |

I mean, 'cos of the way I want it to grow compared with the rest of the garden this is the one where I have a lot more control in really managing the way that it will grow up. So in the end it should be just a whole canopy of trees and branches and a shady place in the summertime - you can come up here and get out of the sun. |
