| When I worked at Lever Brothers it was a happy life. I started there in 1939, and then, remember the old Sunlight Soap labels - we used to send out free tea towels when they collected their Sunlight Soap wrappers. Then later on, I moved up into the advertising department, and then I met a lot more girls that I'm still very good friends with. We had a tennis court on the grounds. |

The office was a really big, old-fashioned building, a long one, and the bosses were in little cubicles, as we called them, just on one side, and the rest of the place was all open. So you were all working in together, even the different departments: the advertising, the sales and the accounts department, we were all there. And they even had Rexona Pty Ltd - where Jeannie Baker worked - in that section. | ||
