It was a beautiful thing - Georgina made it so I could get another use out of it. Yes, and all white. And it had a top that I could take off, and then I used it as an evening frock. Lever Brothers used to have their balls at the Trocadero every year, and I can remember the next day I went over to the paymaster. She said, 'My daughter went', and she said 'She couldn't stop talking about a beautiful frock'. She said, 'She looked like a doll, it was gathered up down the bottom.' I said, 'Oh that was my wedding frock!' [laughs].
