I was born in Perth, came to Sydney in 1964 when my father got a job. He was actually a world expert on off-course betting systems. We then moved up the social ladder and ended up living in Gordon. Basically, a fairly privileged, liberal Catholic upbringing. I'm the eldest, and my youngest brother is nearly twenty years younger than I am.
